Wallpaper & device help

Start by applying a wallpaper through Aakriti and completing Android’s system picker. Opening the preview alone does not confirm application. Available home/lock/both choices depend on your device.
If the wallpaper stops or changes
- Check that Aakriti remains selected in Android’s Wallpaper settings.
- Check whether a manufacturer theme app, wallpaper carousel or another live-wallpaper service is replacing it.
- Restart the phone and apply again. Keep the app updated.
- If the device restricts the wallpaper, review its app battery settings. Change restrictions only as needed; unrestricted background operation can increase power use.
Where to look
Menu names vary by OS version. These are starting points, not exact instructions for every model:
| Device family | Possible setting |
|---|---|
| OnePlus / Oppo / Realme | Settings → Apps → Aakriti → Battery usage / background activity |
| Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco | App info → Battery saver; also check Themes / wallpaper carousel |
| Samsung | Settings → Battery → Background usage limits / sleeping apps |
| Vivo / iQOO | App settings → Battery / background power management |
| Pixel / Motorola | App info → App battery usage; verify the selected live wallpaper |
Motion and battery
Try a lower parallax intensity or Battery Saver in Profile, then reapply the wallpaper so the configuration reaches the system wallpaper. The current saver reduces motion amplitude; it does not promise a fixed FPS, sensor rate or zero battery drain. Do not disable thermal protection.
